Review: Zoflora Disinfectant

I was contacted and asked if I would be interested in reviewing Zoflora, a concentrated disinfectant that kills harmful bacteria and comes in a variety of interesting fragrants. I will be honest, this isn’t a brand I was very familiar with as I usually opt for supermarket own brands for my antibacterial products, but after a bit of research I was intrigued to try this product out. I received two samples – a limited edition fragrance of pink grapefruit, and a floral scent called bouquet. These couldn’t have arrived at a better time, as we all came down with a sickness bug whilst we were away on holiday, so when we got home I set to making sure there was no trace of the virus left in our house. I started in the kitchen, using a cap-full of the pink grapefruit Zoflora in a water spray and cleaned down all the kitchen worktops, the surfaces, the sink, the kitchen table and Ted’s highchair. The kitchen smelt amazing and it was reassuring to know that the scent wasn’t masking any bacteria, it was killing it – leaving my kitchen virus free as well as smelling great.

Over the weeks of testing out this product I have continued to use the pink grapefruit one in the kitchen – I really like my kitchen smelling citrusy and fresh. It has done a great job cleaning out the washing machine drum, the kitchen bin and I even used it in the steamer to clean the kitchen floor. The results were brilliant: a long lasting fresh smell and a hygienically clean kitchen – what more could you want from an antibacterial product.

I have then been using the bouquet scent upstairs in the house, to freshen up the bedrooms and landing. It has been great for cleaning the window sills and bannisters, and has got rid of any trace of sticky fingers and germs. I mentioned earlier that I have used it in our floor steamer, I also used it to steam the carpets which gave an amazing results! Having a toddler in the house who is constantly putting things in his mouth and down on the floor, it is really important to me to be able to keep things as clean as possible. I felt that Zoflora did a great job of this, and it has become part of my cleaning routine around the house. I have also had a few visitors to the house comment on how nice it smelt!

As this product needs to be diluted down before use, I have found I still have loads left – a little amount goes a long way, making it good value for money. It is definitely something I will buy again and continue using – I am told there is a winter spice variety which will be lovely for the coming months – I love the christmassy scents of cinnamon and spices. There are so many different fragrances to choose from – I would love to try them all! You can by a 120ml bottle of Zoflora from ASDA for £1.45 and it is also available at other major supermarkets as well as B&M, Savers and Wilko.

This has been a great product to try out and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has children or pets striving to keep their home clean and smelling good. It is versatile and can be used all over the house with fantastic results!
