What do you think of when you hear the words Sports Direct? Trainers, activewear and sports equipment, right? Well think again! In the latest challenge from Britmums, I have done a bit of Christmas shopping online at sportsdirect.com and have been pleasantly surprised by what I found. And the best bit? Everything I got was £5 or under!
There is a range of brilliant gifts for all ages and genders at amazing prices. For men you will find gadgets, electronics, aftershave – even christmas jumpers! For the lady in your life you will find cosmetics, jewellery, mugs and gorgeous winter accessories. And for the kids… where do I start! There is a whole range of character gifts available at great prices, toys, games, arts & crafts and action figures. I decided to take the #sdfiverchallenge to get some stocking fillers for the boys and found some brilliant bits and pieces for them.
Here’s what I got:
So the first two things I ordered were to board games, costing £5 each reduced from £10. There was a whole range of different family board games to choose from, but I went for Raging Bull and Splatter Face. I think these will be such great fun on Christmas day and at that price it wouldn’t matter if it was only played with a handful of times. The boys havn’t really got into board games yet so I can’t wait to see what they think of them!
Next I choose some cute little Paw Patrol items. The boys are Paw Patrol mad and there was so many things I could have chosen for them. I went for these as they are pretty cheap and cheerful and will be great to go in their stockings. The magnetic scribbler was an amazing £2.10 but the mini art case was even more of a bargain at just £1.50. It is full of crayons on one side and watercolour paints on the other, and zips up into a handy little case. I was so impressed with these items and need to get them wrapped up for the stockings!
Next I chose them a Batman water bottle each which came in at just £2. I always get this kind of stuff for their stockings as we seem to lose them so often! They are a decent size and have a flip lid with a straw. There were loads of other designs to choose from too.
And last, but by absolutely no means least… I got two Christmas themed plush toys – one a snowman and one a reindeer. At just £3 I thought they were going to be pretty small and perfect for going in the top of the stocking… well, I was wrong. When they arrived they were actually HUGE! I was confused by the size of the box and now I know why… these plush toys are about the size of Arthur himself. I couldn’t stop laughing when I opened the package and realised what I had done! I am going to give them to the boys before Christmas now so we can have them sitting in the lounge throughout the festive period. I wouldn’t normally go for such big cuddly toys, but to be honest they will love them.
Overall I am really impressed with the experience of shopping on the Sports Direct website. The have such a great range of items and at bargain prices too. The website itself is so user friendly – just click on the end tab that says ‘Christmas’ and you will find all the gifts in different categories. You can even search by price and find yourself some cheap goodies like I did. I would never have thought of Sports Direct for my Christmas shopping, but now I will definitely be using them again.
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
