Review: Wentworth Puzzles

We are really excited to be taking part in #NationalJigsawDay with Wentworth Puzzles. It takes place on November 3rd and is a celebration of the jigsaw. In today’s world we often rely on technology for entertainment, so National Jigsaw Day hopes to remind people of the relaxing and rewarding past time of jigsaws – a great way for families to come together. As the mother of a toddler our house is full of colourful, plastic toys which definitely have their place in our toy box and are enjoyed, but we also love the more traditional toy, especially wooden toys. We were lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous puzzle as part of this campaign and have had lots of fun playing with it.

Our puzzle is in the shape of a ‘T’ for Ted and has a dinosaur theme which he loved – as soon as he saw them he started saying “roaaar!” The puzzle is beautifully packaged and presented in a high-quality box. Ted was really excited to get all the pieces out and the bright colours are appealing for the younger child. What I really liked about the puzzle was some of the pieces were really unusual and interesting shapes, which I have not seen before! There was a teddy bear, a football, a cat, a dog, a train, a dinosaur and even a unicorn shaped puzzle piece to fit into the picture! I have never seen this and thought it was a really nice touch.

We all sat down on the floor as a family to complete the puzzle and it was a really nice way to spend some time together. This puzzle is geared towards older children so we definitely needed to complete it with Ted due to the small parts and the intricacy of the puzzle. He really enjoyed watching the picture come together and really tried to “help” us by jumbling up the pieces we had sorted into categories – a nice added extra challenge! I would definitely like us to play with more toys like this as a family in the future. These initial puzzles would make a lovely Christmas gift and can be bought from the Wentworth Puzzles website – along with an array of beautiful wooden puzzles for all ages.

National Jigsaw Day takes place on Tuesday 3rd November and I will be hosting a Twitter Party between 1pm and 2pm. During the party I will be giving away a limited edition National Jigsaw Day puzzle which won’t ever be available for sale, you can take part by following me here! See you then! Xx
