Review: Cuddledry

Last night was a momentos occasion – Arthur’s first bath!

Our first hurdle was to work out the logistics of it all – we wanted to be able to take some photos and both of us be able to be involved. Ted has a habit of running from room to room upstairs and LOVES the bath, so we decided to distract him with colouring and crayons and secured him in his high chair in the landing whilst we bathed Arthur. It worked really well and my husband and I both got to focus on Arthur knowing Ted was safe and happy. Don’t worry, we let him have a bath afterwards.

Arthur wasn’t sure what to make of the water at first and cried, but when I started gently washing the warm water over his tummy he seemed to calm down and quite like it. It was lovely to see him so alert and get him all fresh and clean. We used a bath seat for him and it kept it short and sweet. Then we got to try out our new Cuddledry towel!

The Cuddledry is a very clever and practical solution to making those slippery moments when getting your baby out the bath. The towel takes the form of an apron which you secure around your neck allowing your hands to be free for the duration of the bath time, and then you are immediately ready when the time comes to get your baby out. You simply lift your baby out of the water and onto your chest, which is covered in the luxurious Cuddledry, and fold the long part of the towel back up and around your baby. Simple! It keeps you dry and your baby warm and comfortable. It even has a little hood. Even though Arthur is a tiny, delicate newborn I felt like he was really secure and loved being able to scoop him out of the water and on to my chest. I couldn’t believe how super soft the Cuddledry was and absorbent – Arthur was dry in no time! He was really happy cocooned in his Cuddledry and I found it a very stress-free way to give a tiny person a bath! It definitely makes bath time a possibility as a one man job, which is handy when you have two under two! The towel is a really generous size too and I am pretty sure I could use it on Ted as well. No wonder this is an award winning products loved by parents – it really is a great idea for easy bath times. It would make a really unique and helpful gift to any new parents too!

Cuddledry will be at The Baby Show on stand G48 between the 19-21st February – pop by and say Hello!
